We are engaged in or from afar observing a political period in which negativity fills the air. Or perhaps we are observing others as they work to change systemic injustice of all kinds. Indeed we are experiencing the “dog days of summer”. During this time, I am writing to remind us that in the midst of all the above, ours is to do God’s Will. Our dreams reflect God knocking on the door of our hearts; and ours is to manifest our dreams. We are not to permit our dreams to get stuck or to give up on them. No! Now is the time to be vigilant. We are to call forth our Power of Imagination and activate our Power of Faith.
We realize when using these God given Powers, we can confront the current situations and make changes as we are guided. And, yes, we can continue to honor our dreams. With an awakened Imagination, we won’t allow our dreams to get STUCK! Instead, we will use our many tools to make a demonstration. First, we focus on and intentionally commune with God (prayer and meditation). Next, we turn to our other powerful tools such as forgiveness work, journaling, visioning, and visualization.
There are many reasons why manifesting our dreams is so important. Reason number one is to insure ourselves of a happy, healthy, and prosperous life, a life of increase. Let’s look at this.
What does igniting your dreams with Imagination have to do with experiencing your Increase? God/Higher Power/Universe/One Mind (whichever is your preferred name), as I opened up with, is knocking on the door of your heart! Dr. Johnnie Colemon taught that to us over and over again. I now KNOW that to be true. Paraphrasing another teacher, "If your dreams/desires do not cause you to be afraid then they are too small." God is a big God; and, therefore what God has for us is BIG!
Dreams are in our invisible side of existence. They come from a land of unlimited potential. Once WE ACCEPT OUR DREAMS, we are to follow God's directions to manifest them. Be clear, GOD IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE HOW; and we are responsible for the what, using our Imagination. For our part, it is critically important to pray without ceasing directing the indwelling Christ to inform us of God’s Will. Through our listening to the “still, small voice,” we “hear” what actions we are to follow to make our demonstration.
So, let’s work throughout this month to set a time, perhaps as short as 5 minutes or as long as you desire, or even set several times throughout each day when you have an appointment with God. Be intentional by affirming that the purpose of your appointment is to either awaken your Imagination and Faith or to receive God’s directions. In each appointment, simply get quiet; be still and silently let God know that you are listening. Listen for the duration. If it is helpful, set your alarm on your phone for the time allotted. Keep a pencil and paper nearby throughout the day and night to write down any God-given directions. Then be obedient to not only keep your dream alive, but to bring it into manifestation!
